Water Works have teamed up with the East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure Trust to help build capacity and deliver more exciting events and activities. We are pleased to announce that James Gow is now our ‘Artist in Residence’ (AiR).
James’ first job was to organise the Water Works Art Camp – 5 days of fun, creative art and design, as well as nature based activities in the first week of July. Through encouraging the kids attending to explore, design and create not only did they develop a strong connection to the wildflower garden and orchard, but also explored their creative side and made new friends. Check out James’ AiR blog here –https://waterworksbarrhead.wordpress.com/ A big thanks to Louisa for assisting!
James is looking to work with volunteers, community groups and anyone else interested in getting involved to deliver art and design projects at the Water Works. If you think this may benefit you or your group then do not hesitate to get in touch!
