Please join us for an eat and meet gathering of community cooks, growers and gatherers at Water Works, Barrhead. The East Renfrewshire Community Food and Growing Network are a newly formed group and the lunch will be our first public event.
This will be a relaxing lunch where people can share the fruits of their harvest and enjoy sampling local produce prepared by local people. If you can – please bring a dish made from your harvest, but don’t worry if you have don’t have something to bring there will be plenty of food. Our local community chefs will be demonstrating recipes from the Eat Better Feel Better programme.

The lunch is a chance to find what is happening locally around community cooking and growing and share skills and ideas. The new East Renfrewshire community food and growing network want to provide opportunities that make our communities stronger by improving physical and mental well- being, preventing childhood obesity, encourage healthy eating and make good use of local land and resources.
Water Works is on Glasgow Road, Barrhead: Post code G78 1DT, parking at Blackbyres roundabout. If you need help with transport please contact mark.brand@eastrenfrewshire .gov.uk. The lunch will be outside but under shelter and we have a big shed if it is wet.
