On the 6 April we held our first Make your Mark event and community planting day. Although the Water Works has plenty of character, it arguably lacks an identity. The best people to help shape this identity are local people, so an event that allows “a creative exploration at the Water Works” will help some way towards this, not to mention some planting for the season ahead.
A local Glasgow artist – James Gow – came along to help the hardy souls who braved the weather explore the site and generate ideas. The new container provided a handy shelter to escape the elements with plenty of seed trays filed and seeds sown, as well as more fruit trees for the Orchard. Thanks to Barrhead news for reporting the event –
