On Monday 1 August 2016 we welcomed Carlibar Family Centre – around 20 children and their families – to the Water Works for an afternoon of fun nature activities.
The kids took part in our Water Works treasure hunt and James (our Artist in Residence) helped make some handmade clay flower pots.
Great day out amongst the flowers.
Some feedback from Louisa from Carlibar –
“I want to say thank you on behalf of the family centre. The events you put on in the summer were excellent! This has been the highest number of families that we have managed to bring together at a community event. It is excellent that there are facilities for cooking, which definitely brought the different communities together to sample excellent food.
It was great to see the parents having fun joining in with their children. Thank you for taking on our idea for a treasure hunt, it was a great way to explore!”
